Who is Rev. Geoffrey Chapman?
The Reverend Geoffrey Chapman is Rector of St.
Stephen's Episcopal Church in Sewickley, PA. He served in three
different parishes prior to accepting the call to St. Stephen's.
His first seven years were spent at St. Anne's in Fields, a small
rural parish located in Madison, Ohio. He then served as an Associate
Rector in a at Truro Episcopal Church, a "megachurch"
located in Fairfax, VA and as Interim Rector in this parish for
a period of 18 months when its Rector was called to service as a
Bishop in central Florida. Geoff then served in St. Paul's Episcopal
Church, a middle-sized parish of approximately 1,000 parishioners
in Shreveport, LA prior to receiving a call to serve at St. Stephen's.
Geoffrey Chapman has contributed significantly to the leadership
of the American Anglican Council and to First Promise -- a roundtable
of conservative rectors connected with international evangelical
leadership. He has traveled extensively to East Africa and has led
many retreats and seminars around the United States. He is a graduate
of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, MA.
