Musk Delivering the Efficencies Trump Promised | Next To Be Determined | |
Published in Galveston County Daily News February 25, 2025 Several Presidential Administrations early in their terms talked about the necessity of more efficient government. In their rhetoric, taxpayers deserved value for their financial sacrifice. President Trump also promised efficiency, but unlike many of his predecessors, he is delivering.. Elon Musk, Trump's legally-selected agent who's not being paid for his services, has started to open the doors and shed light on how reckless and dangerous former federal spending has become. Musk and his team of auditors, labeled DOGE, are employing powerful AI driven software to uncover wasteful, fraudulent, and abusive spending and the results are not pretty. During the first week of DOGE's operations, they reportedly were saving taxpayers approximately $1 billion per day, mostly by freezing unnecessary hiring, the deletion of wasteful DEI programs and stopping improper payments to foreign organizations. Interestingly DOGE's actions have gained the backing of the former liberal-leaning 18-39 age group. What DOGE has found is deep and disturbing to the majority of Americans. Here are a few examples: • USAID: $1.5 million to advance DEI in Serbia's workplaces, $70,000 for a production of a DEI musical in Ireland, $47,000 for a transgender opera in Colombia, and $32,000 for a transgender comic book in Peru. • According to Economic Times, millions of USAID funds were given to George Soros for "sowing chaos within the U.S., India and Bangladesh." The purpose of USAID is to promote economic assistance to help meet crises around the world, not to promote left-wing political narratives. • FEMA: Spending $59 million on staff sent to house illegal immigrants in NY City hotels while being unable to help North Carolinians recover from hurricane damage. • Non-critical Media Subscriptions: $8.2 million alone to Politico. • EPA: The Biden Administration gave eight entities $20 Billion to distribute "at their discretion;" $2 billion of which went to Stacey Abrams' (D-GA) non-energy NGO for "green energy" projects. There've been allegations that some of the USAID funds have gone to NGO organizations that have been giving kickbacks to U.S. politicians. In the last few weeks, a member of the House Oversight Committee announced we might experience a long list of Congressional resignations. There are allegations that evidence may exist of money-trails to European NGOs with paths back to Members of Congress. On the 26th of January, Google searches for "defense attorneys" spiked to unseen levels in the D.C. area. Only time will tell whether the allegations are true. Meanwhile, Musk's task isn't close to being concluded. A long list of departments remain to be audited. What seems to be clear is that unelected federal employees secretly sought to project their own narratives, misusing federal funds to do so. Most Americans disagree with narratives such as biological men participating in women's sports or government payments aimed at gender transition. The federal government's destructive gaslighting of the last four years has been rejected by most Americans. We applaud the efforts of Elon Musk and DOGE in uncovering and stopping waste, fraud, and abuse. Stop the insanity. It's time for our elected officials to expend funds as if it were their own personal money. |
